Each presenter is an instructor in a global classroom within high school social studies and computer science content areas. These teachers and their students have been participating in and leading global projects for over three years. Both teachers are Flat Classroom Certified Teachers and Global Educators. Each member has participated in professional development within the Flat Classroom community and has facilitated professional development that focused on the integration of technology, content, instruction and web 2.0 tools within their school district and their global community. Each instructor continues to advance their knowledge and experience on teaching 21st century students through their own established professional learning network as well as the development of opportunities for global collaboration. The presenters will share the structure, tools, and commitment necessary to establish and maintain a global classroom while enhancing and improving student learning.
