My name is Mayank Ekbote, and I am proud to say I have been given many amazing opportunities and I took advantage of them. This year I am a senior, and my plan for college is to major in Computer Science, with a focus on Software Development. Outside of the classroom, my activities include playing in a band, participating in a part-time technology job at the school, and taking part in the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) internship known as Summer-At-The-Edge (SATE). The SATE Summer 2012 internship has provided the most memorable experiences (not to say my other activities have failed to give me amazing experiences as well). The internship taught me how to be dependable, how to work with a team, how to work in a real world environment, and more. It was this experience that started making me rethink my plans for the future, because in this internship I found something fun and amazing to do. I want to be able to continue that sort of job in the future.
