For the 15th anniversary of OETC, join more than 6,000 attendees to explore the endless possibilities that distance learning and alternative learning models provide. Attendees will come together to teach and learn about new ways to equip, engage, and empower learners and educators across the state and beyond!
At this presentation, district education technology leaders will learn about CoSN’s new Certified Education Technology Leader (CETL) certification exam and how it will help their careers. Those who pass this rigorous exam will demonstrate to their peers and stakeholders that they have mastered the skills necessary to bring the technology our students need today to compete in the global marketplace of their future.
What are personal learning networks (PLN), and how can a PLN not only provide access points for individualized lifelong learning but also create opportunities for participatory learning and participatory literacy that are essential for today's learning landscape? This session will explore how K12 students and educators can utilize traditional and emerging mediums and resources for cultivating a personal learning network that fuels existing interests and information needs while kindling the discovery of new ideas and concepts for inquiry.
