This session will provide information about & glimpses of the practice of formative assessment in middle school. The Formative Assessment in Middle School (FAMS) Project Director from the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) & the Project Coordinator from the Ohio Resource Center (ORC) will also demonstrate a variety of web-based platforms - including the FAMS Blog, FAMS E-portfolio & ilearnOhio - that support teachers seeking to meet the learning needs of diverse students in their classrooms.
This session will walk you through the process of making anytime, anywhere, any device learning a reality by incorporating these essential components: BYOD, Google and other web-based tools, learning management systems and use of the private and public clouds. We will also provide some strategies for helping your tech team overcome fear and just say yes to innovation.
