The session will provide an overview of Ohio's preparation for the 2014 – 2015 Next Generation of Assessments, including information regarding Ohio’s participation in the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC), the status of PARCC's next-generation assessment system, and how the advances impact Ohio’s assessment development process for Science and Social Studies. The overview will also provide guidance on what districts can do to prepare for online assessment.

Dr. Early has been with the Department of Education since October 2008. His job is to manage the test development process and staff for the OAA and OGT. Kirk Ross

Education Consultant, Ohio Department of Education
Kirk Ross, Education Consultant, Ohio Department of Education, is one of several state education consultants developing Ohio’s Next Generation of Assessments. Kirk brings to the department over 15 years of education research and reformation experience at the local, state, and national level. Currently, Kirk is an Ohio's representative on PARCC's Technology Committee and chairs the PARCC Infrastructure Operational Working Group.
