Every day, learning is taking place across barriers once thought to be insurmountable. For the 15th anniversary of OETC, join more than 6,000 attendees to explore the endless possibilities that distance learning and alternative learning models provide. Attendees will come together to teach and learn about new ways to equip, engage, and empower learners and educators across the state and beyond!

Android Tablet 1:1 Rollout, Pains, Pitfalls, Lessons and Best Practices

National Trail High School initially tested tablets in the high school during the 2011-2012 school year and followed up this year with a complete 1:1 rollout with a 7" Android 4.0.3 ICS Tablet. This session will cover building changes, teaching modifications, PD performed, devices selected, parent orientations, rules and regulations, maintenance requirements, mistakes made, as well as the student usage and their perceptions of the project.

1989 Graduate of Miami University in Systems Analysis. 23 Year AF Veteran with 9 years instructional and 20 years IT experience. Started as a teaching Technology Coordinator in 2003 for National Trail Local Schools. Maintains 700+ workstations, 500 tablets, 10 servers. Maintains and codes customized Moodle installations for the school. Teaches half a normal schedule of high school computer classes on computer hardware.
