This panel discussion will explain the best practices and new and updated standards for educational technology. This includes upgrades to the infrastructure, preparing for online assessments, design and implementation of wireless networks, BYOD, and the digital world of audio/video and more.

John Black is a Senior Principal with Heapy Engineering. John joined Heapy Engineering upon receiving a BSEE from Purdue University in 1980 and has served as a Senior Electrical Engineer, Design Team Manager and Manager of Heapy’s Technology Department prior to his current position as Director of Engineering Resources.

Mr. Brown practiced architecture for 22 years before joining the Ohio Department of Education in 1996 where he administered projects under the Classroom Facilities Assistance Program. Jim is a Senior Technology Systems Designer responsible for Technology, Security, Structured Cabling and AV systems design for design-bid-build and design-build construction. Responsibilities also include maintaining standard systems specifications and Developing In-House Training Curriculum. Jim holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Wright State University.
