For the 15th anniversary of OETC, join more than 6,000 attendees to explore the endless possibilities that distance learning and alternative learning models provide. Designing a Quest-based Curriculum

This workshop takes time to build a full unit using game design principles for learning. Specifically, you’ll see examples of character development models, role/quest/task assignment, how to integrate standards and relevant learning and how to balance required and elite experiences for a project-based classroom. The presenters will also share some of their own classroom practices, from over ten years of game-based learning in the classroom, that help facilitate game-based learning.

Assistant Professor, Ohio University
Dikkers is an assistant professor in Educational studies at Ohio University. His fields of scholarship include curriculum and instruction, educational technologies, and educational leadership.
