For the 15th anniversary of OETC, join more than 6,000 attendees to explore the endless possibilities that distance learning and alternative learning models provide. Attendees will come together to teach and learn about new ways to equip, engage, and empower learners and educators across the state and beyond!

This session presents a virtual world called Virtual Discovery Center (VDC) that has been used successfully to conduct both distance research for undergraduate students and distance learning for high school (and middle school) students using the Open Sim virtual reality technology. Attendees will learn the specifics of how the Open Sim virtual reality technology was successfully applied and gain insights into its application for their specific research and virtual / distance learning needs.
