For the 15th anniversary of OETC, join more than 6,000 attendees to explore the endless possibilities that distance learning and alternative learning models provide. Starting a High School Computer Science Program from Scratch

This session will give participants ideas on how they can start a computer science program within their school from scratch. Presenters will communicate their experiences creating their own program within their respective schools. Participants will learn how challenges were tackled, what resources are available and ideas on networking with other teachers from Ohio.

Teacher, Northern Local School District
Dave has taught Computer Science and Technology at Sheridan High School for 3 years previously teaching Computer Technology at West Muskingum Middle School. He is also an adjunct faculty member of Zane State College in the Education Department as well as a Lecturer for Muskingum University. Dave is a former member of the Board of Directors for Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA) and is currently working with CSTA Ohio.
