For the 15th anniversary of OETC, join more than 6,000 attendees to explore the endless possibilities that distance learning and alternative learning models provide. Attendees will come together to teach and learn about new ways to equip, engage, and empower learners and educators across the state and beyond!

Using Digital Images as a Writing Prompt

Writing is a critical skill that all students must develop for success in school and beyond. Stimulating the writing process can be a challenge for teachers, and it is important to discover methods that support and encourage students to write in meaningful ways. In this session, participants will learn how to use digital images to enhance writing in content areas such as math and science. Several tools will be discussed including iMovie, Pinnacle studio and YouTube.

I am an assistant professor at Salisbury University and I serve as the director of elementary education. In addition to administrative duties, I am responsible for teaching technology integration courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
