For the 15th anniversary of OETC, join more than 6,000 attendees to explore the endless possibilities that distance learning and alternative learning models provide. Attendees will come together to teach and learn about new ways to equip, engage, and empower learners and educators across the state and beyond!

We share pedagogy and practical strategies for teaching and learning online, our individual stories about the challenges of redesigning content, activities and assessments for an online teaching and learning environment. Darren Falk

Teacher, New Albany-Plain Local Schools
Darren Falk is the Director of Bands at New Albany High School and serves as the District Performing Arts Center Coordinator. He has been on faculty in the New Albany music program since 1998. Mr. Falk earned his Bachelors of Music Education degree from The Ohio State University in 1998 and his Masters of Music Education degree from the VanderCook College of Music in 2004. Kirk Hilbrands

Teacher, New Albany-Plain Local Schools
Kirk Hilbrands has been teaching high school social studies in New Albany for 13 years. He has taught Humanities; European History; Government, Politics, and Economics; and AP European History and U.S. Government. Kirk has also served on several district and building-wide committees. He is a two-time recipient of the National Honor Society Faculty Recognition Award. Prior to teaching, Kirk was General Counselor for a local shoe retailer.

Greg Morris

Teacher, New Albany-Plain Local Schools
Greg Morris has taught for 16 years in New Albany High School. He currently teaches physics, AP Physics and Chemistry at New Albany High School. Prior to teaching, Greg worked as a chemist and data analyst for the School Study Council of Ohio. He also taught statistics and environmental science for Ohio Dominican University. Ann Trotter

Teacher, New Albany-Plain Local Schools
Ann Trotter is in her 6th year of teaching at New Albany High School. She currently teaches AP English-Language and Composition and CP English-American Literature. Prior to becoming a high school teacher, Ann had her own travel business and also worked in real estate. She earned her Masters degree at Ohio Dominican University.
