In this session you get an insider’s perspective from an educator, a gamer, and a mild technology skeptic who used a games-based learning model for ten years before applying the same design strategies to school-wide redesigns of special education programs, language learning programs and currently the Gaming Matter Labs research agenda at Ohio University. This session illustrates that anyone can reshape their classroom if they keep learning, listening and loving authenticity in learning.

Dikkers is an assistant professor in Educational studies at Ohio University. His fields of scholarship include curriculum and instruction, educational technologies, and educational leadership.
